So when I got rejected on Adsense, I started looking for alternatives to show advertisements on my websites. I came up across Ozone Media which claimed to be among the best in India.
After signing up a contract I was provided with codes. Now here’s where it gets interesting. Instead of a page on their website where I can check the total impressions and clicks, I was instead sent a excel sheet by one of their employee.
Even though it was supposed to be a daily thing, I used to get it randomly. Now on days when traffic was actually good(Google Analytics) he excel sheet showed earnings in paise while on days with poor traffic it showed decent earnings.
To check the authenticity, I took the website offline for two days and lo, earnings on their daily reports for these two days were 70 and 80 rs each. I instantly knew they were fraud. I asked for a summed up report at the end of the month and the figures in that were not even close to what the daily reports showed.
I was told I’ll be paid the earnings(which were 1200 for a month, exactly Rs 1, 200) would be delivered 3 months later but that never happened.
My advice? Don’t put up ads at all instead of going for such a fraud company.
