The breeding ground for cockroaches & other insect

I am one of those unfortunate customers who have relied on HUL claims of pure drinking water and bought Pureit Marvella RO around 3.5 years back. For first two to three months I was quite happy and satisfied with my purchase but my plight began the first time I saw a dead cockroach baby floating in my drinking water. I removed all the water from the storage tank only to find more cockroaches and small insects floating in the water.


And we were drinking that water for God knows how long.  I immediately called pureit customer care. They were prompt to send the technician who cleaned the storage tank and the area near filter which were all filled by dead bodies of cockroaches of all shapes, sizes and colours. .it was the most unhygienic sight for any RO owner and a dreaded one since we were living on false claim of your company and drinking the most unhealthiest water.


Neways the technician sealed all the joints of the RO with lot of celotapes and assured such thing would not happen again and happily took away Rs 250 services charges and went.  We were also hopeful that this must be a one time event and will never reoccur since we trusted the brand name "Hindustan Lever" and were very sure they would not cheat with health of their customers just in order to sell their product.


But all my trust and your company’s claim again went in drain by occurance of more and more cockroaches and insects in the RO water tank and’n’ number of complaints, ’n’ number of celotapes on the RO and’n’ number of services charges being levied on us for getting the storage tank cleaned. This product has manufacturing defect where the gap on all sides is enough for cockroaches and other insects to get inside the RO .


Since past 2 years I have been writing mails to the company, making numerous phone calls to their service centre . But I guess my complaints have gone to deaf ears and still the company hasn’t been able to rectify the problem and provide permanent solution except for cleaning the water tank with plain water which is definitely no solution at all.


Its been almost 6 months we had been assured of company providing a replacement of the body but when we called their service centre  at No.8, Webster Road, Cox Town, Banaswadi, Near South Indian Bank, Bangalore, Karnataka which is the service centre for our location, Mr Vinay Kumar(8123560607) asked us to send pictures of the dead cockroaches in RO which we did send to him on 16th May 2015 and he first told us the body is on its way and for a month they kept saying that and finally when they were supposed to replace the body they said "Oh its different model, we cannot provide any support for this particular model of Pureit" while his assistant Mohammad said " you can throw away the product". That is the kind of customer service provided by such big brands.


Pureit Hindustan Lever is making such defective products, selling it at a premium with all false claims of healthy and safe drinking water and playing with not only sentiments and pockets of customer but also with their health.


But I have had enough assurance from this cheater company and now I am not going to settle down with all these petty assurances and compromise with my family’s health. We are forced to buy water since 2 years to suffice our water need for drinking and cooking inspite of RO. I want company to compensate me for all the cost I borne to buy their defective product, repatedly getting it cleaned and paying service charges for no fault of ours and for all the water cans bills we have been paying for past 2 years because of their fault and in return they can take back their defective product with pleasure.


I am highly disappointed with this product and more so the treatment and casualty shown towards my complain.  It very well reflects on how much the company cares for the safety and health of the customer which it proclaims while selling its defective products to customers


So please don’t end up purchasing any such products only because of the brand name
