I ordered Morphy Richards Oven Toaster Mirror Finish Grill 40 R-CSS on 04 Mar 2013 order no. 3002068297. The product was delivered on 12 March 2013. It was very nicely packed. There were at least 3 layers of protection to ensure any damage in transit. When we opened the product we found it severely dented on 2 side. I immediately complained and sent them the photographs of the dents. Complain no 733266. They gave me a call on 13th for verification of complain. Just now they called me and said that I have to courier the product to them at my cost.
I strongly suspect that the product was dented when packed, because the packing was so good that it was practically impossible to have dents without damaging the outer layers. All the layers including the inner corrugated box are absolutely in perfect new condition.
Why should I bear the courier charges and then wait for them to deliver me another piece without a guarantee that piece would be perfect.
They are selling showroom display pieces and in transit/godown damaged piece as new which is otherwise available at 30 to 40% discount at company outlets.I can understand that this is a harassment tactic so that the consumer accept such product instead of going into hassle. I now want these people to be taught a lesson so that they stop such practice. I am writing this for awareness to all consumers so that they beware of this site.
