If you think you have found the most mind bending plots in movies like Fight Club and Jacob’s Ladder, wait till you’re through with Shutter Island. A true Scorsese masterpiece about a US Marshal who while investigating a case in Shutter island uncovers some deep dark secrets about his past. The cast too have done justice to the story with performances living up to the pedigree of a fairly star heavy film. The Dicaprio Ruffalo duo beautifully set up the plot as two cops share a warm sense of comrade. While, Kingsley’s academic performance is extremely compelling which would give you nothing away as to where this roller coaster ride is heading. Well backed by some intense background scores from Robbie Robertson. The design of the plot is quite elaborate which may require you to pay close attention to the details. But that shouldn’t be a huge ask given you would be hooked within the first ten minutes and holding on to your seats to witness the epic conclusion.
