My grandson, Michael, goes to a school for gifted kids but you would never know it by his grades. He has been on the cusp (to put it mildly) of failing.
There was a fair at his school for a University this past Spring. A representative told him about a special program on environmental studies. They select a handful of students to participate in this one week- all expense paid course. Well, Michael was selected to take part in this program and it gave him the impetus he needed to start working on his school work.
This Fair was the wake up call my grandson needed. You never know what you’ll gain from participating. Isn’t it worth and afternoon or evening of your time?
