Redbus.in started the online bus ticketing revolution and I respect it for the same.
However, now with this site leading the market for bus ticketing, I guess they are now literally taking the travelers for a ride!
I had to book a ticket from Mumbai to Hyderabad. The redbus.in site shows’ZERO BOOKING CHARGES’ NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR ONLINE BOOKING. Which I presume means that they will provide the ticket at the same price at which I could buy from the travels directly.
So, I selected HKB tours bus on this site. The amount payable showed Rs. 1000/- and I was confident of going ahead and booking this ticket. I then wanted to recheck the price on HKB tours site(where they too have an online booking option) and the price shown for the same bus, same route, same time, was Rs. 950/-.
The point here is not about Rs. 50/- being charged extra by redbus.in. I will pay this amount if they provide a better service or customer support. But why dupe the people by saying you don’t charge extra? Isn’t this lying to people at free will?
