I had booked a non A/C ticket for my brother on 19th Nov 09 from Mumbai to Goa using redbus.in. All was good. Various options regarding the tour buses, fair price, contact nos, etc. Selected Narmada-Atmaram travels as I travelled on this bus from Goa to Mumbai and selected a seat in the 3rd row.
Got a confirmation call in the afternoon from Narmada travels and they gave me the bus no and was told that the the bus would reach Vashi at 6.15pm. Till here everything was a dream. The bus arrived at Vashi at 6.15PM but it was a bus of a different tour operator.
It was a total useless bus from some tour operator named George travels. And the seat given to my brother was right in front, not the one that I opted for. Argued with the conductor, but to no avail. Had no option at all. Luckily my brother got a seat in front as compared to the rear.
Lesson learnt: Better book your bus ticket from the authorised office at Dadar/Vashi to avoid disappointment. But I know, sometimes we get cheated at the authorised offices as well.
