I bought the Redmi 9A a few months ago, mainly because of its price and basic features — and honestly, its better than expected for an entry-level phone.
The camera quality is surprisingly good in daylight. For casual photos, it does a decent job. You can’t expect flagship-level pics, but for this price, it’s definitely a win.
It comes with a large screen, a 5000mAh battery that easily lasts a day, and MIUI has useful features like reading mode and dark mode. Great for calls, YouTube, and light usage.
But yes, the phone does lag or hang sometimes, especially if youre opening multiple apps or switching between tasks quickly. Not ideal for gaming or multitasking.
Overall, I’d say it’s a solid phone for basic use – calling, browsing, light apps, and good camera. Just don’t expect it to handle heavy apps smoothly.
