Rejoice Sun Protection Shampoo

Summer is now fast approaching- time for excitement, fun and most of all vacation.

When it’s summer, we usually go to the best beaches, chilling out and spending time with our family and friends. And of course time to feel the inevitable scorching heat of the sun.

But don’t worry because there are effective ways we can protect our hair from drying while we enjoy this best time  of the year.

This is one of the most important aspect I care for. My hair. Because I believe it’s one of the major factors that brings out our beauty even more.

During summer season, our hair becomes very sensitive to heat that makes it dry and sometimes even results to split-ends and flaky scalp. And it’s not a good thing especially for a girl. So far, I was able to survive this dilemma by shampooing my hair every other day but conditioning it everyday. It keeps hair more healthy and our scalp moisturized.

One certain product I use here in Philippines on these times is, Procter and Gamble’s Rejoice Sun Protection Shampoo and Rejoice Sun Protection Conditioner. They are intentionally made to protect our Hair from drying brought by the heat of sun. It also detangles the hair making it more manageable, soft and silky. It’s so cheap yet very effective and really smell so good, each bottle only costs Php89(less than$2, USD). For me it’s the best choice because the result it gave me is really rewarding.

Of course once in awhile, I still go to the salon to avail a Loreal’s Power dose Treatment. It boosts strength, beauty and luster of our hair. Most of all, it makes the hair more manageable. Trust me, we need it. The cost of this treatment will depend on the length of the hair. At the salon, it will range from$11 to$23usd.

It may be a bit expensive but there’s nothing wrong if we treat ourselves once in awhile from the heavy workloads and stress of the day…

Applying any leave-on moisturizers or oil serums such as those by Citre Shine or other brands is a big NO NO for this season. Yes just for this season. It is not advisable because oil and too much moisture plus tremendous hot weather can trigger our hair from getting dry, or much worst, frizzy. Trust me on this one. Instead of such, try to replace it for Bain De Terre’s Rise n’ Shine White Willow Mousse. A unique, liquid-to-foam styling product they have to give body, luster and volume to flat, lifeless hair. It is not sticky. As in. It tames the hair naturally without having that stiff, greasy look. It makes the hair bounce beautifully. Perfect for summer, I must say.

The product costs around$9.95usd for a 250ml bottle.

Also, for women with long hair, it is best advised this season to either have a shorter hair-cut to make you feel light and more refreshed from the heat that summer brings. But if you don’t want to compromise your hair, then simply tie it up. Some say it’s boring and not fashionable, well it depends on how you reinvent and boost your sense of style.:)
