Gemini Ganeshan’s daughter, Rekha started acting at the age of thirteen. Her first movie to hit the silver screen was SAWAN BHADON in 1970. Though didn’t work out as was thought, but still it’ll be remebered forever as it marked transformation of this dark and not so beautiful duckling to a golden mermaid.
This metamorphosis transformed her into an Actress full of Substance. This transformation of her boosted such an impact in the tinsel town that she still rules over the hearts of millions.
Her most remarkable movies include UMRAO JAAN and SILSILA. In SILSILA she got the opportunity to work with the angry young man AMITABH with whom her romance rumours are still the hot in the market.
She worked with the super star in almost 20 movies and most of them, need not say, were great hits.Her other memorable films include Khoobsoorat, Ghar, Jhoothi, Mr Natwarlal, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Do Anjane, Khoon Bhari Maang, Agar Tum Na Hote, Aastha, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi.
Now she’s close to her fiftys but the way she has managed to maintain her charm, beauty and figure shows that she is still ready to take any challenging future endeavours.
