RELIANCE Broadnet WIMAX..THE WORST HAS COME

Finally my problem ;) I stay in New Sangvi/Aundh area in Pune. I called up reliance broadnet (wimax) guys for a connection at my home on 19th August 2008. 21st, the sales guy took the application form and INR 562 from me and then I got a call from them for installation on 23rd august (impressive though).


After quick installation, I was told that there is a problem in their tower nearby, so net connection can’t be tested. in the evening, the guy came again and completed the setup. but I wad told I can’t get userid the same day and would get next day (sunday, 24th).So finally on sunday I got the net connection.


AND IT WAS NOT BAD as I got the new connection in 5 days, which is what I was expecting. (Though I did threaten them the day one when I requested for a broadband connection that I will unilaterally cancel the request if not done with in a week!!!, may be that worked). SO FAR SO GOOD…


Now the real pain..I took the 2Mbps/750INR plan. few days I have not noticed speed. one day, when I started voice chatting with my friend (in skype), the culprit did show its face. broken voices..I though I have got 2000Kbps line, and voice is breaking in this connection, let alone video which was supposed to be my next test. Now it it is time for sanity check of claimed speed. used both reliance’s speed measurement tool and SPEEDTEST.NET, and guess what I was getting a speed of 350-400Kbps D/L speed and 250 Kbps U/L..and that’s NOT good..many times I tested the speed which keep on varying in mile wide..crap 200Kbps to soothing 1265Kbps ..but I can ssee many times it resta arounf 400Kbps +/-, which is just 20% of what I should get (2000Kbps, well u may add upload speed, still damn less).


Called twice to CC and was told my details are not still in theore system! (it has been 2 weeks!) and that they have escalated it to their concerned dept. And I got a call from them today (2nd Sep) saying that they have send details to Care, but what about my complain??? I aksed taht guy that I have complained about lower speed he still instisted that he has sent details to CC.


And then he hung up!!! I am yet to call CCare again..I am still not sure if the guy did something about it or send some information to CC. got to check to night and will update what happens next. and now update: These guys are turned out to be the WORST in customer care service and pathetic online system, incompetent employee and even more incompetent are their bosses who are simply brain dead.
