Reliance broadnet sucks!

I am broadnet broadband customer in Bangalore.

I am having a horrible time with this service. It absolutely sucks!

Other than occasional outages, the broadband was disconnected for an

entire week due to non-payment. This was when no bill (first bill) was sent to be

after repeated confirmation of my email and door address. Nobody in

customercare had any clue as to why connection does not work.  They just

tell you a stock resolution "Somebody will call you in 24 hours time".

It took about a dozen phone calls and mails to finally resolve it. In fact I came

to know about the problem (delayed payment) only from the local accounts guy.

Even after payment was made, just to re-enable it, it took three days.

For last two days, again it is dysfunctional. Last night when I attempted

to log a complaint, it was refused by the customer care executive and

his (floor) supervisor. on the promise that "system is being upgraded" and

it would be ok after 11pm.

This morning again when I checked, the connection was still not alright.

A complaint was finally accepted.

It almost seems like that this service is a FRAUD, because

  • nowadays more often than not it does not work.

- there is a dysfunctional problem resolution system where

executives at supervisor level refuse to log a complaint

  • when I earlier wrote to service assurance cell, the customer care

replied indicating that they both are basically same (a fraud again)

- they have a non-working toll free number, requiring me to

spend money unnecessarily on STD calls for numerous support

calls

I think that they presume that people use brandband only for fun and therefore

it is alright to have downtime at will.

And all this is above the fact that I get somewhere between 128-512kbps

speed when my plan is actually 2Mbps.

For more than two years, I had BSNL broadband at my previous residence.

Apart from very rare outages in late night, which was alright next morning,

it worked like charm.

Alas! at my new residence they are yet to give connection due to equipment shortage.

I would any day switch to BSNL given a choice than stay with this FRAUDULENT

(I borrowed it from one of the previous posters).
