Ive been a customer of Reliance Broadnet for the past 6 months. I must say that the service is good while it works. However in my experience, Ive had to place at least 15 complaints with them over this period. Either the line goes dead or the modem does not get a signal.
They have a very bad practice of closing complaints without repairing the problem or informing the customer withing 48 hrs. (I believe this is to keep the number of open complaints/calls that get escalated to a minimum.) It has happened to me multiple times where I call in to follow-up on an open complaint (after the 48hrs. that they promise) and find out that the complaint has been closed. What I end up doing after wasting my time with the helpless (and useless) CSR is that I lodge a new complaint (for the same problem).
This time it was so ridiculous that Ive had to lodge 3 separate complaints over the past one week. They keep closing the complaint after 2 days whether it is resolved or not. Im still waiting after a week of lodging complaints for a modem signal. **Ive decided to get rid of them.
* But I thought anyone who goes in for unreliance broadnet should know what to expect when there are problems with the service.
