Hey guys, its not a New story with Reliance but its pretty good one. Short and sweet - I used it for 3 months and I disconnected in August 2015.I am from west Delhi area.
I booked my connection for Reliance internet in May last week 2015. The sales person came immediately, made big promises, son of a b*ch asked me to buy a new router for Wi-Fi.
I did so hoping that everything would go well. Yeah You guessed it right. He took my money and didnt turn up for a week. Not a single message or phone call. I had to jump pretty tight routes to get to some "Boss" guy to get my connection installed.
Now, the Connection was running great.I purchased thunder 2mbps plan which gave 250kbps speed steady, no downtime. Until 17th July 2015. I called customer service, booked a complaint and as usual waited 24 hours for somebody to turn up. But no body came as usual. This went about for two days. The 3rd day I made a call as well as I sent an email to their customer care.
This went on for another week. Its been 10 days without internet. So after being fed up, I just dropped a mail aging them to terminate my connection. The next day I gotta call from a woman who promised that a service guy will visit and look into it.I thought it to be another empty promise. But then amazingly a guy came, repaired the connection and then everything was back to normal.
The woman said that since Id paid the bill, the waiver for the downtime will be adjusted in next bill.i said ok.
It was time for next bill and I sent a reminder email to adjust the waiver. you should be amazed at the reply I got. Im copy pasting the exact reply I got. look for yourself.
"This is with reference to your e-mail dated August 08, 2015 for your Reliance Broadband Subscriber ID 394675382301, regarding billing.
We understand the inconvenience caused and take this as feedback to improve our service to meet your expectations.
The billing complaint registered with Service Request ID 235946931 has been resolved. Necessary waiver of Rs. 185.93/-(including service tax) for the period 21.07.2015 to 27.07.2015, has been posted to your account.
Further, all the connectivity complaint registered by you during the disputed period 17.07.2015 to 20.07.2015, were resolved within the given time frame(i.e. within 72 hours) and usage not observed during the period 21.07.2015 to 27.07.2015. Hence, no more waiver is applicable to your account."
The first time when you read, youd get the feeling that Im acting irrationally. Just for a mere 3 or 4 days waiver which is only some 100 bucks, Ive terminated my connection. But nite I ask you to read their reply again. According to them, some mystery invisible superhuman had already visited and resolved the issue in the first 72 hours itself. They just implied that Im a blabbering fool whos got no other job except to trouble Reliance people fir Rs.100. Also, another reason for terminating was I didnt think this would be their last time for such things to happen. There are going to be many times and Im going to lose money many times because of this invisible man.
Good riddance Reliance.I wish this company goes bankrupt once Reliance Jio comes into business.
