I am using Reliance CDMA connection since long back. My tariff plan was "Platinum225" where I enjoyed discount of Rs.100/- each on voice call & sms as well as local voice call charge was 30 paise/min. and sms charge was 30 paise per sms. Till December, 2015 every thing was ok. But from January, 2016 my tariff plan was changed to "Platinum225N" without any prior intimation.
As a consequence, both local voice call & sms charges were hiked. Besides, discount of Rs.100/- each on voice call & sms was abolished. Unfortunately, I failed to notice this arbitrary change in my tariff plan in the January, 2016 bill and paid the bill within due time. But, when I have look into the February, 2016 bill, the current one, I have become astonished seeing the change of tariff plan causing abrupt increase in the bill. The very moment I have lodged a complaint to customer care deptt. about this issue(complaint/service request no.- 242776265 dated 09-02-2016).
And yesterday, I have received a sms from Reliance that my complaint has been resolved and I have to pay the bill as per current tariff plan i.e. "Platinum225N". Now, my grievance is of two fold:- 1) change of tariff plan without prior intimation and 2) as a result of which, the discount of Rs.100/- each on voice call & sms is discontinued and local voice call & sms charges are hiked causing the increase in monthly bill. Therefore, my query is whether any existing postpaid tariff plan can be changed without any prior intimation to the subscriber to the plan and without giving him an opportunity to decide. I chose Reliance CDMA for its good service and honest billing. But my idea has been proved false after this type of malafide activities from Reliance Communications.
