Extremely disappointed. I was under the impression that Reliance being a respectable name in India, would be a reliable name to deal with. I was proven wrong. I bought an LG 42LS5700 tv on 7/11/2012. Order no: 20990057099903.
My complaint is 3 fold:
I had specifically asked the customer advisor if the TV had a headphone out. I was given the assurance that it had. Since the demo tv was on the wall and the connections behind the tv I took his word for it and bought it. I had stressed the importance of the headphone out for me, on which he reassured me. The tv does not have a headphone out. I would have to change my music system or speakers to make it work the way I had intended to.
their website says that you get a magic remote with the tv. I did not get it. On asking for a clarification about that in-store, the store colleagues have given me vague replies and lies. Some say it meant for only 3d tvs, some say its optional, some say I would need to speak to the concerned person of the department. Their website seems very clear about which TVs provide that remote.
I bought the TV for Rs 55300/- with an MRP of Rs 56990. The price of the TV has reduced to Rs 54990/-. Clearly, their diwali discounts are nothing but a marketing technique which I shall remember before I purchase or advise anyone to purchase anything from a reliance store. Also, their 15 day price guarantee states that if the tv is cheaper in any similar format store, the difference would be given back to me in the form of gift coupons. I have spoken to 2 different people from the store and everyone is trying to wriggle out of the situation. No one seems interested in honoring the advertised price guarantee. I am highly disappointed and the only thing holding me back from going to the consumer court is the hope of a resolution from the reliance digital management.
