I usually think twice before writing a negative review, but after my experience at Reliance Digital , I feel its my duty to make fellow citizens aware of the means being used at this store to fleece customers.
I went to buy a Cordless phone at Reliance Digital Store, Infinity Mall-2 Malad. Mumbai , on 19sep2012.
After selecting the Panasonic 5.2 GHZ Cordless phone, when I approached the payment counter, the phone was something else of a substandard quality, which we fortunately realised and made them change the product.
After making the payment as we are about to leave the store, just out of intuition we asked for a demonstration of the phone. Upon opening the "Sealed box" we were shocked to see that the phone inside was missing, but only had the manuals. Before we could say a word the sales person tried to push in a demo/display piece inside the box which we promptly stopped them from doing so.
Shocked with this experience I suddenly felt I was standing in the midst of crooks who were out to loot me. I immediately demanded to cancel this transaction and leave the store as the manager there Mr Vishal failed to give any explanation rather than excuses which were completely baseless and unconvincing. Now imagine if a customer leaves the store with a product in a sealed box, and after reaching home realises its a box with manuals only, would Reliance Digital even entertain the complaint ???
I’ve promised myself never to enter "Reliance Digital" ever again after this horrible experience.
