Sold Defective Samsung Refrigerator

I went to one of the Reliance Digital Store(Brookfield Mall, Bangalore) to buy a refrigerator keeping in mind to buy a brand other than Samsung. However I was convinced by the sales person to buy Samsung as a best brand and quality . I was also told how good they are from support perspective and how are they different from online retailer such as Flipkart and Amazon. So I bought a 275 liter convertible refrigerator(RT30T3783SL) from them. Stopped working after 4 months and even after 2 repairs and gas filling by their technician, the refrigerator is still not working. It is more than 10 days the issue is still not fixed. I requested for replacement or refund or extended warranty for the fact that 2 times already repaired and major repair like replacing coil etc. was suggested and they are even aren’t sure what the issue is. 5 times the technicians are already visited including their technician and Samsung Technicians. So I am now really frustrated as they don’t have any coordination with the brand, no time line given for a resolution and they are stick to the rule book that within warranty period, they want to repair as many times as they want. For me it is clearly defective product sold to me and I have all the rights to ask for a refund or repair. Now I am dealing with Samsung with this issue. Then why should I go to their store, instead I will choose Amazon or Flipkart for better price. If they can’t work with the brand to provide a satisfactory resolution for the customer, what is the use of going to their store and buy lousy/defective products. These guys have no understanding of customer’s concern why I am asking for the refund, extended warranty etc. Escalated to CEO level and they are of no use. So Be aware if you are buying anything from Reliance Digital. If anything goes wrong, you will be left to mercy of yourself, no one else!


Update: Today one of the technician from Samsung visited and told that the Reliance technicians messed up and the compressor has to be replaced. Can you imagine within 5 months period the compressor has to be changed? Crap product, Crap Support, Crap business by Reliance Digital.They only know how to suck the customer’s money and no empathy towards customer and they don’t have any sense of customer support.
