~~ WHY FRESH is not always FRESH? !! ## @@

Dear Mukesh Bhai, Let me start with the quote from Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani: "Growth has no limit at Reliance. I keep revising my vision. Only when you can dream it, you can do it."Reliance Group Dhirubhai H. Ambani, *

Founder Chairman Reliance Group, December 28, 1932 -

July 6, 2002.

Let us start our journey to our Reliance Fresh

Stores:

Happy Factor: I am overjoyously happy to see a happy crowd present at the Reliance

Fresh outlets whenever I go there to buy my daily requirements. Although it

gives me a little trouble when I try to move freely in the store, but forget

the pain when I see that I am not the only one there to face this problem, and

I stop taking it as a problem. It is related to our forefathers who believed in

the marriage system and expanded their families without ever thinking about it.

I am very happy to see the overwhelming response of buyers like me coming to

your stores regularly without fail even if we forget to go to our regular place

of worship.

Timings: You are my role model for the new generation companies where they have

flexible hours for their employees. Your store timings are tough (5.30AM to

10.30PM) but this start and end time varies from store to store. For 5.30AM to

8.00AM there are GOODMORNING HOURS similar to HAPPY HOURS in the Bars and Pubs

(for customer having HAPPY FEET) to come and buy milk (only), at discounted

prize (oops PRICE) @Re 1/- off per half Kg polypack (be it Reliance, Mother

Diary, Amul). And from 8.30 AM onwards till 10.30 PM it is open for any

purchase.

*Logistics vs

Home:** I have five Reliance Fresh

stores in a vicinity of 5 KMs of my house in any direction I drive. Thanks for

that privilege.

You have changed the lifestyle of a common Man of India (Santhosh where are you!):Who had

dreamt of buying Eggs, Milks, breads, fruits, vegetables, grocery items – lose

and packets, ice-creams, etc. on credit card. The amount does not matter here.

There is no limit like in IPL, the amount can be as small as the minimum runs

scored by a team (or a batsman, except zero) and can go upto as high as the

individual score of Mccullum in his first IPL match (or the grand total of all

scores of all matches held so far in IPL)

Home Delivery: Although I never used it, as I

believe on my hands and eyes more than my ears, so unless I touch anything, I

don’t buy it. I appreciate that your people are always ready to deliver the

order at home within the vicinity of 2 KMs and the minimum amount is rs. 500/-.

Trolleys, and baskets & Staff: Your trolleys,

baskets and Staff are always eager to serve the customer moment they enter in

the store. I can easily make out that RED

is your favorite color (probably during the planning for these stores – you

watched – Gimme RED ad and got

inspired by that!). Red is the color of baskets and staff uniform as well.

Good, it is radiant, full of energy and synergy. Even if I go directly from my

office to your store, my tired face gets lit up with energy the moment I pick

up the red basket and see your red comrades (are you aware that RED is the favorite color of PREITY ZINTA also!).

One trolley can accommodate two baskets – one on the ground floor, and the

other on first. Usually I never felt the need of another trolley and baskets.

What a superb understanding of buyers you have. The staff is more than eager

and respectful always for their commitment, cooperation and availability.

Reliance Card: On top of everything your staff

members keep asking every customer at the time of billing if they have taken

RELIANCE CARD or not. No, no I am

not talking about the credit card. It is the card in which I get some points

credited on my every purchase done here. (It is half point against Rs. 100, and

against 30 points I will get Rs 21 voucher or so, I am not sure exactly.

Although I used to be brilliant at mathematics, but this calculation always

confuses me! But you don’t worry, I asked one of my friend who was never good

at maths and he told me it is very simple. Though he tried to explain it to me,

but my shutters were not working at that time. These are termed as REWARD

POINTS.

Billing: The billing process is painful, as it

takes as much time as I spent on my total purchasing but I find a reason behind

that. Your staff loves your customers too much and hence I think they try to

spend some more time with the customer before leaving him finally. But please

look into it if this billing process can be fastened up. Most of the times, all

billing counters (3 or 4) do not have an attendant most of the time, I am sure

that there is no manpower crunch in the store.

Announcements: “If your 2wheeler is not insured, it

can cause trouble for you, get your 2wheeler insured instantly and also get

double reward points” is the usual announcement happening in stores, other

announcements would be regarding top up for your mobile associated with reward

point’s incentive.

7elevn and tesco: When I was in Thailand, I used to wonder, when we will have

such stores in India,

you made my dream come true.

Schemes:  Against Rs. 599 purchase get 6 bowls or 2

pearlpet bottles, against purchase of Rs. 99/- vegetables and fruits get 1 KG

potato free, against Rs.111/- of fruits and vegetables get 1 KG onion and 1 KG

potato free, against Rs.999/- purchase get a dinner set free.

Parking: This is an issue on some of the stores due

to lack of space but no charges, and is purely on the risk of the vehicle owner

No cigerrates:  This I found a good factor that you don’t sell

anything harmful to mankind, society and earth. GREEN

ACs: Wow! Against the scorching heat of Delhi, good place to get

rid off your sweat.

LAST WORDS: All the time all vegetables and fruits

are not really FRESH, but then in that case those are sold at quite less price.

Congratulations to you for getting the “Chitralekha Person of the Year 2007” award.
