Today after doing our normal shopping at the Banjara Hills, Road Number 1 outlet, we decided to have grape juice at the store itself. First the deadpan manning the counter said that he didn’t have small glasses so we would have to take the big one, which meant paying extra.
Before we knew it, the juice was ready for us. My wife asked the chap if he had extracted the juice right now. The person said no as he had prepared the juice about an hour ago. After having the first sip, we complained to the man that the juice wasn’t good. But being the numbskull he is, didn’t say anything.
I took the so called juice to his manager one Anil Kumar and was shocked to hear that guy’s response, or rather the lack of it. He seemed to agree with his employee and refused to do anything. I got irritated and came out of the store but that guy did not have the decency to stop me and offer me another glass in its place.
I’ve never seen attitude such like this they behave as if they are doing us social service by selling fruits. Companies such as Reliance open such stores and hand the stores to incompetent people who not only make a fool of themselves but also of the company.
