I purchased it yesterday from the local. I visited reliance digital to purchase but they are only giving it with new activated connection pack with recharge of 408. I refused to purchase from their any visited random electronic shop.
Personally, after using it for a day long, I think I am ready to say its an average in comparison to hype they create. I prefer old 3G modem over this.
> Its Huge - the size is very huge as compare to airtel 4G dongle. I have not measured it on scale but handling it in hand will define it to you too. It takes a good amount of space and not best to fit in jeans. Though you can buy any pouch or cover with belt hook to carry.
> Its Heavy - Not the modem but battery feels to heavy in hand. It is as a size of phone battery(for instance infocus m530, it is similar to it).
> Its Heats - It heats up after using for 30-40 min of usage. I would not say heats like high specs mobile but still can be feel in hand. Its summer anyway.
Pro -
> Portable, no need to plug it into USB.
> Adaptor and USB cable are of good quality.
> Dedicated interface for each and every info about device, range, battery and more nerdy stuff.(jiofi.local.html)
> MMC support for Wifi Disk.
> Dedicated indicators which inform you about signal, wifi and battery status. Check manual for color indications.
> Looks are good.
> Speed is good, better than few 4g device with VOLTE support.
> Support USB thertring, plus point. Use it while charging.
Cons -
> You need to activate your SIM with dan dana dan offer to buy it(only at Reliance Digital, nowhere else).
> Wifi range is too broad; con for me.
> Password can be hacked easily with android app. Use WPS.
> Speed is still not compared to iPhone devices.
> Backup is just okay.
I will or would update anything new hit me. Thanks
