After considering the price point of other operator services, I chose this operator’s 3G network SIM card for my brother, who was visiting us in Kolkata from Canada. I had a Reliance smart SIM when I was young, the coverage around our home was average and the speed of 2G then was really slow as everyone else’s. But I thought that they have increased their coverage area and their overall speed too. But I was gravely mistaken as my brother was unable to use the SIM almost 30% of his stay. That aside the call rates were cheap. So, no complaints on that part. The speed was sometimes slower the 2G speed or EDGE speed of Vodafone network. I will be doing a review of that also, you can check it out. Again coming to the coverage. There was no coverage in Bagnan, Howrah are. I agree its a rural area, but even idea had coverage and strong connection comparing to Reliance’s un-reliable connection. Coming to the most urban area of Kolkata. Esplanade should have at least 2G network connection but alas there was only harassment. Please guys don’t go for this connection though cheap but its bound to leave you in tears.
