’Karlo Duniya Muthi main’ Thats exactly what they do.not us. I work for Digital Globalsoft Ltd Bangalore. since I moved down here i’ve been making friends and trying to adjust to the language. I was told by one of my colleagues that since I work for Digital I can just walk in into the Reliance showroom or web world as they call it, on brigade road and flash my company I card to them and get a mobile.free. I thought about the other options and finally decided to go in for one, and I asked my sister in Pune to also do the same, you know. family keeps in touch with boy working out of town stuff. Anyway, I didn’t want to start getting huge bills, so I used the free sms and gave all my friends my number. its been 2 months now and I’ve only used 3 hours of incoming and above 75 hours of outgoing! Foolish!? no’Majburi!’ heres why. My handset.which was brand new and sealed when I bought it, has no incoming! Strange but true. the incoming suddenly stopped. I’ve been complaining for 2 months now. everyday.maybe even twice a day. what else could I use the handset for.outgoing, reliance world, sms, and alarm clock. In 3 weeks they barred my STD. the reason for this was’ High Outgoing Usage’ . I tried to make the agent on line understand that due to no incoming, the only way I could get in touch with my family was through outgoing. After a lot of switching offs and ons and removing the battery and putting it back again, dial some codes.*308 etc. They came to the conclusion that it is a handset problem.! I don’t see logic in this because I can make outgoing, send and receive sms. It definitely has to be a network problem. the agents there are surprisingly un-friendly, no communication skills, no listening skills, besides, since i’ve been working in customer service for four years now, I can say reliance and Citibank are equals when it comes to pathetic customer service. Anyway. the solution they gave me was to go to a Nokia showroom and repair my handset. I was astonished! they have only one service center in Bangalore Bangalore my friends is a HUGE city. I stay about a 100 bucks away by rick. one and a half hour away. as traffic really sucks here. I mean it! What I felt as a customer that if the problem is not mine .its theirs. Handsets should be checked before being sold. they should have some maintenance guy to come to where I stay and check signal strength and my handset. what I use my handset now is R-world, sms and the most useful’Alarm Clock’ I have made up my mind not to go to that service center, and not pay the bills. You imagine yourself with a mobile phone that has no incoming! You’ll have a Reliance mobile Clock!
