If one is accustomed to broadband service in India especially for the home user we all know how crappy it is. It was with some degree of skepticism that I signed up for Reliance Netconnect after canceling my MTNL broadband, which lack 3 things - internet, connection and broadband but I am not going to go there since this is not the right forum to rant about MTNL.
Signed up for Reliance Netconnect at 2pm on July 15th. Some guy showed up at my door on July 16th to verify address and identity. On July 17th 11am I get a call from Reliance Netconnect letting me know that my internet service had been activated. I dished out my USB Reliance Modem plugged it in and lo and behold it really was working with one snafu(there has to be ONE isnt it) I was getting just the 1x CDMA connection speed of 230kbps so I called customer service which by the way was picked up by a live person within 2 rings and I was told that my data plan likely had not made it to the Broadband access database. I was asked to write an email stating the same to reliance customer support which I promptly did.
Tried to connect after 4 hours and here I am writing this review on a Reliance Netconnect broadband connection. I am getting speed of 1.41Mbps, which is way better that what I have ever gotten in India. So far so good. Only been a day though so I am not going to jump up and down with glee just yet but all in all this is the first time an Internet connection in India has brought a smile to my face:)
Here is what I get on Speedtest:

Hope this helps all you folks out there who are on the fence.
One suggestion - Before signing up for the service I would recommend getting a demo of the same at your home or wherever you are going to use the service to make sure you can get the high speeds they promise.
July 20th Update:
Just thought I would add an update after 4 days of activation. No outages as yet. Speed in excess of 1mbps. Here is the latest test on Speedtest.

I cancelled Reliance connection in 2011 service quality deteriorated tabidly with speeds well below advertised. Have since moved to Tata Photon+ with much better results.
