I have used this data card for almost a year and a half before I decided to get rid of it. The speed was just fair and the customer care is hopeless. The network failed to connect most of the times. When you call for help, all they say is your complaint has been registered and we’ll call you back within 24 hrs. I mean, what’s wrong with these guys? If I could afford to wait for 24 hrs, why will I even call them up for a pathetic network?


Nevertheless, I was trying to put up with all that. But then, came this billing issue. Mine was a postpaid connection and I had the 10 GB UL night plan for Rs.499. On the 4th month, I received a bill of Rs.3, 500 and this was back in 2008. I fell from the sky as I looked at the billing amount. Let me clarify, I never ever watched any video online or downloaded a movie, etc. My usage was just basic browsing and a bit of social networking like Orkut, Facebook, etc.


When I tried speaking to the Customer Service, they said, ”Sorry, we can’t help you in this. A bill, once generated, has to be cleared. However, you can register a complaint once you’re done so that we can look into the matter.” I did that and put up a complaint. Nothing happened. The next month I received a bill of Rs. 3, 200. This kept going on for months and there was no resolution whatsoever. Another problem was that we didn’t have much option in terms of ISPs back then, like we have now. So I had to bear this nonsense for months and kept letting go of my money in the name of a responsible buyer. Honestly, I was still hoping they would do something about the issue after the numerous follow-up efforts at my end.


Finally, I decided to disconnect this piece of trash and that too had some formalities. Seriously Mr. Ambani, are the rules and regulations of your organization that biased? Apparently, it is.
