Reliance Never-connect

I moved to Anjuna goa in Feb 2014 and when the store guy suggested reliance, I went for it not knowing I am in for a world of ignorance n neglect.  The activation took quite a few days and I realized very quickly it didn’t matter where I placed the net connect dongle or what kind of signal I get, my speeds never were as promised. every time I connected the dongle I had to wait for 30 seconds for it to connect which eventually became close to a minute. each time I called the customer care I was greeted by a machine sounding bad accented person who was more worried about saying I can understand your inconvenience than to do something about it. I think in my innumerable calls to their customer care I got good help just once when the rep actually knew what he was talking about .

This is a general review on how horrible they usually are. To begin with you will not get the promised speeds when you need it or actually never . constant disconnections despite the fact that I use a desktop and the position of the dongle does not change and I have it outside the house with a not so long ext cable. My settings are as per instruction to them and usually even if its a server upgrade they make you go through the whole uninstall n install process for nothing. THe most recent time of not being connected lasted over a week and each time I called I was told 24 or 48 hours . When every call is as bad as the last or worse I dont think it makes sense to single one out.

I told the rep I was going to take the dongle to their showroom and either burn it or hammer it to bits before them and spend the whole day informing people visiting about them. that was when I got transferred to a’manager’ who sounded worse than the rep.  makes me wonder if they even have managers or if they do they might be sipping chai in their office while the empire of chaos builds. that was the only time I actually got through to a’manager’ . the longest hold time waiting for a manager after which I gave up was about 45 mins. I realized citing exact examples is no use cos I dont think the reliance folk want to do anything about it and hopefully this will be my last week with them and also my friends who got reliance are convinced to stop being their customers too.  the last phone conversation I had with reliance was absolutely horrible and I was real close to destroying the dongle at their office. the rep very clearly didn’t hear anything I said as I was giving out exact date and time of disconnection etc and when I finished she asks me when I got disconnected. and to top it all their notes showed the issue as resolved when it clearly wasn’t. They dont listen to you anyways so people stop trying and find a better service please.

On the other hand I realized this review could be an ad to join reliance customer care  if you want to not work n get paid.

This is to inform everyone who get rejected at other well paying international call center / customer care mnc’s that they need not feel so as reliance customer care is at your rescue. Reliance is known to hire people who dont really like to listen, keep repeating their scripted phrases, make sure they dont log the right notes for the next rep who will be handling the call, specialize at the hold and the mute button, etc useless traits. Please apply now to torture more consumers with your inadequacies and depressing skills of care.

If you are a consumer with reliance and stuck for some reason do not call the customer care if you need a solution. here are the easy instructions:

1. unplug your dongle

2. put the cap back on

3. throw it to the ground and stomp on it repeatedly  till you feel like.

4. seal it in an envelope and give it in person to someone at reliance store.

5. triple check with friends n others.
