My name is Prem and I’m a software professional working for a leading firm here in Bangalore. A broadband connection is something which is very much mandatory for my work. I was using Airtel Broadband for almost an year with amazing service.. (trust me people, I never had a downtime with AirTel for even 1 hour)
Things changed when I relocated to a new house in Bangalore, I called Air Tel and they said they dont have connectivity, I know how much time BSNL will take to give connectivity. For me its mere an emergency, so after doing a little research in the net, with half hearted I called up a Wi-Max rep. Am not mentioning any names over here (I still have each and every name and phone numbers with even call recordings and message replies from them)...
When I called he came right on time to collect the money and other documents from me. Trust me people, he came right on time ! He said I’ll be getting the connection in 7 working days.I was so happy till this part.My struggle started on the 8th day... no one turned up for the installation, no call for verification...I tried contacting the rep (as he is the only contact I had that time for Wi-MAX) He picked up call, I asked him abt the status very politely, he said he’ll call me back in 10 mins. I waited for almost 30 mins...
Then called his number back... Bingo ! Its switched off ! I tried calling him for the next one week, from several number... He was not even picking up my call..Eventually I made myself satisfied by hearing his caller tune song :-)At last I send him a message after almost 20 days, the msg was like this... "Hi ---- Hope u remember me, u took money from me for Wi-MAX connection, and nothing happened till now. So please cancel my connection and refund my money back ASAP or else I’ll come to your office with my lawyer and the things will be different..." I also mentioned that I have a few call recordings and messages from them in my mobile assuring that the connection will be done in 8 days...
For a sample I send two messages which he send to me for the same...Now after a few minutes he called me back... Said my connection will be canceled and i’ll get my money back in 7 working days !(there comes that 7 again) --- I bluntly said no... I need my money back in two days. Why should I have to give my hard earn money to some losers which try to exploit poor customers by offering something which can never be done ???Anyways, he called me back in two days, came down near to my office and gave my money back... I still think its some kind of wounder.Ok, its not over and now you all can think that I’m a fool because what happened was that I was desperate for this connection and someone told me that if I go for a good sub contractor of reliance Wi-MAX then I’ll get the connection promptly...
Now only I came to know something that its not Reliance who is providing the connection. Just like the 500 Rs phone, they gave this service to some worthless contractors who can use their name and provide services. But I thought of going for another gambling. I called up this lady who is working for Wi-MAX, she said she is a team lead. I still believe so. I told her my whole story, she was so empathetic and also told me abt other contractors who are "spoiling" good contractors name like her company. Friends, I just trusted her. This time also, amazing service for collecting money and documents!!! The rep came and this time took 3300 from me (last time I gave only 1100).
Ok, now, like as usual said my connection will be up in 7 working days... For the whole time I was spending hours in Internet cafes loaded with virus infected machines... Now after 7th day I called this lady, she apologized promptly, said my work order has not been generated. Asked me to wait for another two days ! I don’t have a choice, I waited. Now came another excuse, there is some problem with my application and its on hold... but they said its on hold from the Mumbai office ! She gave me a number to call and speak with Mumbai people. I called and spoke with a bunch of crooks who never got an application for my name !!! This time I really became furious. I called this lady again...
Here we go, shez not picking up the call !!! Called her again next day... no show, , , instead I got a msg from her describing that she met with an accident and is at home, taking rest, Will go to office after a week, and then only she can update me on the status of my application. I respect ladies and that was only reason why I didn’t used any F’s and B’s. Actually those words were coming to my tongue tips ! Ok, so its the 17th working day for my second try with WI-MAX and am just a bit tired of calling them to hear excuses and explanations. That time I met with an Air Tel Rep who went to the extra mile to get connectivity for me. There were a few other inquiries for Air Tel BB in my neighborhood. So they brought a line there.
You wont believe folks, I filled my application on first day at 4PM for Air Tel BB, a technician called me next day morning, came and installed the phone line around 11 in the morning, installed modem by 4 in the evening and my connection was up by 6 PM! That means I got Air Tel Broadband within 26 hrs ! (now this is what I call service)Ok, so you must be wondering whats going on now... Yes, I’m struggling to get my money back from Reliance. After applying with reliance almost after 30 days, after I got my Air Tel connection, I got a call from Reliance technician that my work order has been generated and he is coming for installation !!! (he was announcing that as if I got the super lotto !!!)
This time I wasn’t able to control myself... I used the famous four letter word two times, so without explaining much to the technicians they canceled my work order. Now I’m waiting for my refund DD for the past 28 days exactly.... And the wait continues... This is for those people who is thinking of going for a WI-MAX connection... If anyone who got benefited from this then I’ll be the most happiest person...I welcome ur comments and also ur experiences if u had anything similar to mine. And if anyone have any doughts of the credibility of this review then feel free to contact me and I’ll provide whatever proof you guys want from me for all this epic happened... Now a word to the RELIANCE FAMILY..."People can be fooled two or three times to the max... After that if you want to know what happens, then check the history...
