I had health insurance from last 4 years with Star Health Insurance. I decided to look for more health cover so applied to port my policy with Religare Health insurance after advice from my agent with a cover of 5 Lac. I applied for the portability 45 days before my policy renewal date. They issues the policy and after one month came with a question that I made a claim for my wife treatment with my previous insurance company and did not declare in the proposal form. I immediately replied that I did not make any claim with Star Health and only applied for a approval for probable surgery which was not required at that time as the condition of my wife improved.
There was no response from the Religare Health insurance team even after various follow ups. After sometime when My wife need to go through that surgery once again they have denied the claim. and to my frustration they have even not informed me the reason for their denial. I am perusing this matter in the legal court and will fight till I get the result. But wanted to post this review, if I can save one more innocent person from getting trapped by this cheater company.
