Relish is located in Garia more, just beside the SBI ATM. The entry is narrow and in between a sweet shop and medical shop, so it is quite difficult to locate for a new person.
There is sign board though placed just in front of the hotel. Relish is a good quality Bengali meal hotel at day time and in the evening it becomes a Chinese restaurant.
It offers a wide range of fish preparation like Roi mach er jhol, katla kalia, Pomfret curry, pabda jhaal, boal fish curry, Parse curry, Tangra curry etc to name with.
Apart, you can get chicken curry, mutton curry, egg curry. You will get 2-3 types of vegetables also as well as dal(lentil) with chutney and papad. All these items can be eaten with rice.
So, if you are hungry and like to have a simple yet quality lunch with in affordable budget, this is the place to dine. As the prices are not much, people from nearby places do their lunch daily in this hotel.
The place is simple, a hall room with total of 8 tables divided in 2 rows. 4 persons can eat on a table. There is a simple wash room with basic to become fresh before and after your lunch.
As it is located in a busy market area, lots of working people eat here and I have seen some TV artists also to take their lunch as Tollygunge Studio is not far away from this place.
The hotel gets very crowded in between 1 pm to 2.30 pm and you have to even wait to get your seat. There are frequents and even flying customers to relish hotel.
All the waiters are simple yet helpful and busy serving people. They also have take away facility.
Taste is good, and food is hygienic and cooked properly. I have eaten in Relish on several times as this place is not very far from my house. I have even taken away meals for lunch and there is nothing to complain about.
In the evening, it offers Chinese dishes like Chili chicken, fried rice, chowmin, veg pakoda etc. You will find decent crowd at that time. Now, it is mainly popular for its full course lunch meal.
I recommend this place. If you are new to Garia, just ask any one about Relish, and you will be surely landed up to the right place. A safe choice for your regular lunch.
