Remix

Remixes are a combination of old songs with a new look. I have seen many classics like kabhi aar kabhi paar, siayan dil me aana re. etc which have been remixed and re-served. It is possible that the younger generation are not familiar with the old songs and are not interested to see the orginal songs picturised in black and white or in dull backgrounds. The younger generation want the beats to be faster and want lot of orchestration to go with the song.

The idea of popularising the song is good but I feel that the remixing should stop at audio level and should not go to video level. It is  painful to see half clad girls writhing and clinging to each other singing  classics rendered immortal by Lata and others. The picturisation of these songs kill the purity associated with these songs. It is not shaking of bums and legs which make a song sell. It is the lyrics with suitable music which makes them classic and watchable by all. It is not necessary for Meghana Naidu to pull her top strap  to sell a song, if that is what is required then it is better for the remix gurus to picturise half or full  nude girls to just beating of drums and whistles instead of using good songs and killing them.
