Finally, I had a test drive today of Renault Kwid RxT(O) 1 ltr after a prolonged visit and enquiry at the dealer for a test drive in Hyderabad.
As a prospective buyer, I had never thought it would take over 3 weeks just to have a test drive for a entry level car.
Below is my candid feedback.
Exterior- The car looks amazing from the exterior and there is no second thoughts about it.
Interior & Drivability - Once you are in the drivers seat, issues keep adding. The gear shift is really a nightmare especially shifting from 2 to 3 gear and then from 4th to 5th gear.
While driving up hill, the engine stalls at 2nd gear and it is necessary to shift to 1st gear else there is a possibility that the car might roll back if proper acceleration is not provided.
There is lot of vibration when the car is in idle/neutral state especially have observed in this car which has been test driven over 300 kms.
HVAC has also not been taken care of. Lot of engine noise is felt inside the cabin.
I am skeptical that this car will offer 25 kms a liter. If yes then great but I assume 17-18 in city.
I hope my short but focused review will help readers in their decision making. After all its our hard earned purchase.
