Rishtey, as I remember, started off as Yule Love stories and used to be an 1/2 hour show. Later it came to be known as Love stories and finally Rishtey. It stopped in between for a while and then restarted. One of the most interesting creative aspects is that each episode was different. The director, producer, production, technical crew, story, actor..everything changed from episode to episode. So there was lot of room for new ideas to seep in. I remember the episode of Madhavan and Iravati Harse, Renuka shahane, Vishal and old parents, Kartika Rane...and so many others. Each of the stories had a different message. Each story explored one specific relation in depth. If a child would sit in front of it, it would know the entire world of one relation per episode. I think Zee TV must be credited for venturing in for something like this. No channel has been so successful in such adventures. How many actors and technical crew got to display their talent every episode?
I literally used to cry for almost every alternate episode. Some used to be comical, some serious..what fun I used to have , ...every Sunday 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm. I began to explore the most beautiful world of relationships.
The most touching was that of 1. Vishal and those orphaned parents 2. Anoop Soni and his parents 3. Renuka Shahane and that Jelabi kid 4. Madhavan and Iravati Harshes story
