Well what happens when you try to repeat the history. Either you succeed by creating history or fail miseraby affecting the history made already. Rock on 2 successfully accomplishes the later.

It lacks MAGIK, the one original had. On the grounds of music, acting and plot. They tried to recreate the MAGIK but then you dont always succeed. Lifting and making movie based on last hit project doesn’t work out.

Plot - its below average as you won’t get to experience much different from the past venture
Music - it consistently fails to recreate the MAGIK. The songs one after another bringd fatigue.
Acting - Well acting in portions is good but few of the scenes are overdose and succeed in boring you.
Direction - the director is different form that of past venture. How can you expect the ship to sail same with a different captain on the board. Well he fails at every portion.
Editing - think they ran out of scissors in between.
movie continues with the seeming, forceful & pushy, musical journey of the newly reformed yet discrete Magik Band. Storyline, Direction and Music in the movie all together contribute at their best to bore you, feels like a torn cloth being repeatedly stitched with an another torn cloth and some other multi coloured cloths(acting) which are better but the final product altogether being a mess. And please dont mess with it.
Better buy a dvd of the first project and enjoy home. Dont waste your money unless you have some black ones in you pocket. One and half star
