My grandfather(God bless his soul) was a fit, healthy 75 year old last August. He was an asthma patient for over 20 years but had always been treated well in Moolchand. He got a fever and decided he wanted to use his CGHS card as the treatment would be subsidised and didnt require much medical expertise. When he went to Rockland Hospital, they admitted him to ICU and kept him there for 10 days. He developed complications in his lungs due to pneumonia from being in the ICU.
He began speaking incoherently and eventually lost consciousness. When he regained mild consciousness, Rockland discharged him saying he was recovering, despite his obviously frail state. He stayed at home for approximately 2 days, coughing copious amounts of phlegm everyday. He also had terrible boils and rashes on his skin because he was not cleaned properly while in Rockland. Finally we realised he wasnt getting better and took him to Moolchand, where they said he was extremely weak and needed intensive care and should never have been discharged. He passed away after a few days.
I am looking for a lawyer or journalist to look into how Rockland has been treating its CGHS employees. Based on the complaints on this website, I can see that Rockland has killed several CGHS employees by admitting them to ICU without taking care of them or looking into their medical histories. This is pure greed and should not be how any hospital is run. All the family members of the victims deserve justice.
IN MEMORY OF MY GRANDFATHER I URGE YOU - PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES TO ROCKLAND HOSPITAL IFYOU CARE ABOUT THEIR HEALTH, LONG LIFE AND GOOD MEDICAL CARE.
