Rebel with a cause?

What do two guys, without girl friends do on a boring Sunday evening? Simple they go and watch a run of the mill affair like Rocky. I wanted to watch Khosla Ka Ghosla but the tickets were all sold out, so what do I end up watching? Rocky. My flat mate was hardly excited about the movie but me being a movie freak had no option but to watch the movie, lest I waste away a Sunday wihout watching a movie. So I sat myself down and watched the movie. The script was hardly the hottest one on the market, and I have no idea how many similar movies I have seen, every one filled with Blood, Violence and vengance. Rocky was hardly an exception to the age old story of vengence. Zayed does not look like much of a single hero movie person. He did a decent job in DUS but flatters to decieve in Rocky. I feel given that this kind of plot has not been (re)used in a long time there was some scope to bring a fresh air of life into it but unfortunately that does not happen. The songs are okay and Hemesh continues to impress me with his foot tapping music, the locations are okay but after movies like KANK foreign locales are all just too boring. The director has doen a decent job of shooting the locales and its just too bad that whatever talent the director did have was wasted away because of a lack lusture plot. I think the movie could have been a means to show case the perils one puts himself and his family in if he resorts to violence as a means of solving all problems. But that opporitunity too was lost in the scheme of things, Rocky could have been a story that showed the world how being the angry young man is not the solution of everyone’s problems or it could have been a movie that depicts how violence is no the answer to everything. But it fails on both accounts. There is too much pointless blood and violence in the movie. Zayed does however impress me as the estranged lover who has lost his loved one, the only spark of briliance in the whole boring affair. Honestly speaking after KANK and Rocky, the time is ripe for me to find a more pleasing means of entertainment. ;-). Don’t bother with Rocky if you have something better to watch. In fact don’t bother with Rocky period. Although there is not much of a plot to reveal but I am still not saying much about the plot as I feel its piracy.
