Hey guys, Rohtang Pass is one the best place to visit in Himachal but beware road is very dangerous and its really difficult even for a local drivers to drive over there. But over all Rotang pass is a good place for adventure trip.
Its easy to reach Rohtang Pass.You can easily get bike on hire from Manali or you can hire taxi. Roads are used to close after 3 pm so you need to start early in the morning so that you can come back before 3.
Beware of local vendors who will try to sell you some cheap sex herbs on very expensive price.But I must say Rohtang Pass is such a beautiful place with beautiful sight seeing and climate that you will forget all the problems you faced while reaching their.You need to track for almost 2 km in order find snow if you going their during the summers holidays either in the rest of season it is fully covered with snow.
Their is no place to stay in Rohtang pass either you need to keep you tent with you if you are planning to stay.But I recommend not to stay over their as temperature is very cold during the nights. You can get room in a very small place which is like 10 km before Rohtang Pass.
Safety is a major concern in Rohtang. In case of accident or any damage to car, you will not find any help soon. During summer season you can even get a traffic jam of more than 2 hours because of tourists but their is not proper facilities by the government to help for peoples.
Over all good place to visit but should keep those point in mind before planning.
