I purchased this bike on December 2015 on Christmas eve but this purchase proved to be a biggest mistake of mine.
In this review I would be giving detailed information about all problems that I faced with this bike.
So here is various facts about this bike:
LOOKS:
in terms of looks I would say that this bike looks good and stands upon its name classic but the problem is that there is no difference in looks of classic 350 and classic 500 which I feel is not justified by side of Royal Enfield as there is difference in price of around 50000 in both bikes.
BUILD QUALITY:
The bike seems to be muscular and well built but actually the build quality of this bike is not that good the front mudguard looks as if it is made at home, one can clearly notice rusting around the battery cover, the paint come out from various parts of bike’s body so the overall build quality of this bike is not that door.
ENGINE:
This bike is powered by a 499 cc twins Park engine that produces a maximum power of around 25 bhp, 25 bhp of power for a 500cc bike seems quite underpowered the pickup of engine is good but the bike struggles after 80 kmph of speed and their is always some tik tik sound coming from engine .
RIDE QUALITY:
The ride quality of this bike is good the seats are comfortable the sitting posture is also comfortable but the bike mirrors vibrate a lot and therefore can’t be used for back view.
EFI engine :
The EFI technology of this bike is not at all good and gives a lot of troubles from the date I purchased this bike there was a constant problem in the EFI system of bike the red light was never switching on when I went to the service centre he recommended to change the EFI system I changed that system for around 12000 rupees but even after that there was no change in the problem and I ended up selling my for less than half it amount.
Because of the problems that I faced specially with the EFI system I won’t recommend this bike to anyone even I didn’t got any support from side of Royal Enfield their service centre are totally worst they just want to extract money from customers.
FINAL VERDICT:
I won’t recommend anyone to waste their 2 lakh rupees on this bike.
