Classic 350 ?
350cc for a 190 kg bike?
Its too less you know , but its good for the local rides. Many people say that the enfield is great for long distance rides and all , its true but not classic 350. * Dont get mistaken * other enflields like thunderbird and himalaya are good enough for long rides or trips
Once our group was travelling to ladakh on some pulsars and ktms and we saw a foreigner couple who had a classic 350 which the took on rent and were stuck in the steep ascent as the road was fully covered with mud and their chain kit was damaged due to it . The reason behind it was the old technology that the enfield manufacturers have kept constant.
We helped the couple to mAnasultange to get the bike upto a garage near by but still they were stucked over there as the required parts were unavailable
This experience really shook me and my every instinct or the views behind the classic 350 were changed and I decided that never to ride on a classic 350 if im planning for a long ride ( offroad)
But as ive already said the bike is quite good if you are a local rider and if you dont plan ling rides
Its quite royal and the throttle is also impressive
The bike offers great mileage and a bit comfort ( depends upon the rider)
Some quick specs -
• Displacement -346 cc
• single cylinder
• 4 stroke , twin spark engine
• Max. power -19.80 bhp @ 5250 rpm
• Max. torque - 28 Nm @ 4000 rpm
• 2 valves per cylinder
• 37 kmpl mileage
• 5 gears ( manual)
• cooling system - air cooled
• fuel tank capacity -13.50 litres
• reserve fuel capacity - 2.50 litres
• top speed - 130 kmph
• 0-60 in 3.20sec
• Anasultanlog speedometer
• low oil indicator available
• low battery inducator present
• single frontal disc
The bike lacks tachometer and tripmeter also it doesnt have any ABS varient and I dont think it would be possible with the old technology
As I already said if you stand up on the conditions mentioned the bike is for you else it would be a wrong descision buying it.
