Hai, My brother loves royal enfield bike so much.he is presently in Delhi, so he thought to buy the newly launched ROYAL ENFIELD HIMALAYAN.So he approached his friends for suggestion then only he got to know that Himalayan is not launched in delhi due to BS-IV norms. And I surfed the net were I got this article- Royal Enfield has just launched its adventure tourer Himalayan at an on-road Mumbai price of 1.78 lakh, but the company has announced that the Himalayan, for now, will not be available in Delhi.
The reason: Delhi governments decision not to allow sale of new two wheelers which do not comply with Bharat Stage IV emission norms. Beginning April 1, 2016 all new models of two wheelers need to comply with BS-IV emission norms. The Royal Enfield Himalayan, being BS-III compliant, doesnt meet those requirements.
I cant beleive that a great company had failed in making a market analysis.
I hope the EICHER company will overcome the problem as earlier as possible. And will launch himlayan in delhi.
