Hi All,

i had bought the Lightning 535 in Oct2004, it was my first bike and contrary to what people say, I think its the best bike to learn on (for me atleast, 6 ft big made), now every other bike seems like a toy, I wasnt workin at the time and was just 18, so eventually I sold the bike. repented badly, spent many sleepless nights, literally cried, and later settled for an Army 350 1989, what can I say, the bike was good, but it lacked something, I kept spending huge ammounts of money modifying it, and eventually it ended looking like a 535 itself, but without that beastly engine, thats when it hit me, it was the bike for me. AND I SOLD IT!!!, I hate myself for that.

Now I am on the hunt for a monster (535), I had named mine the prince of darkness. covered pretty good distances on it mostly doing 100+kms non stop.

The only thing about the bike is you should know your limits, and dont ride when your drunk!!! a friend of mine will agree, he almost cooked, not burnt ’’cooked’’ his leg on my silencer.

a lot of people have told me that I should probably sell it off, I almost killed a friend once when he called it a white elephant. the fool!! sure the mileage is great, but who gives a damn? its comfortable, powerfull as hell, stylish, as stable as a fort, and undoubtedly the best cruiser that India has ever seen.

However I hope that RE re-starts producion of this awesome machine.

It is without a shadow of a doubt the best bike you can go in for, if you do find one that is, and if your not going in for it, please give me the sellers contact number.

Cheers,

Safe riding,

Chris Keve (aka The Sandman)
