I became the proud owner of this beast in September 2009. Till now the meter ticked 5500 Kms mixed with city and highway rides. Where ever you go the people around you will have their eyes on you when you are on this monster. It creates sexy thump when you pull your accelerator from red to green on the roads. There is not even a single day without someone asking about the cost, mileage and comfort of the beast when I had shown silence on the traffic signals.
Looks: Awesome semi chopper look with a cruiser match. This beast has a heavy, steady, rich look.
Handling: Dont ever think you will feel it heavy while riding. Its as simple as riding on a 100 Kg bike. Never ever try to over turn your bull, or too much cornering. U will get punished since the rear tyres does not have big shoulders like in zappers.
Comfort: Riding comfort is awesome, you will never feel any jerk even when you ride on little humps. It will feel like flying when ur speedo ticks 60 and above. The handle bars gives good posture and I didn’t feel any pain pain in shoulders or in the spine even after 3 hours of continuous riding towards Madurai from Cbe though the road is little clumsy.
Mileage: It was giving 43 initially till 2000 kms then it started giving 45 in the city. On the highway I get around 48 - 50 based on the speed I drive.
Maintenance: Beast has a big oil tank which will cost you to spend more on your oil at every time you change your oil. You care for it at proper timings, it wont bite your pocket. Never let ur beast stay wet after a ride in rain, it wil start to rust. Better wipe of and get the iron parts cleaned with kerosene or petrol once in 2 months.
Cons: The engine is creating noise due to the hydraulic tappets. I found little oil leaks before my first service, it was fixed by the service people. The Left side rear view mirror is placed in a awkward position, I never get a perfect rear view.
The silencer does not gives a good thump, its little mild. Show room guys suggested to change it to a shorter bottle silencer to get a good thump.Rest everything is going fine. For a long rider like me, this is the perfect bike(Cruiser) without any trouble with the ergonomics. Get one and feel the pride.
