Hi all,

This is my first ever review on mouthshut, I hope that it turns out to be a good one.

Well it all started when I got an opportunity to do my final semester thesis at University of New South Wales, Sydney (AUSTRALIA). I applied for VISA at Mumbai Consulate office and then waited for their response. As usual they delayed the processing of VISA but the worst thing was yet to come. I applied for the VISA in the first week of January and received the instructions for medical checkup in february last week. So me and my father decided that we should go to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune (one of the Hospitals recognised by Australian Govt.) and get the checkup done.

The main reason behind choosing Ruby Hall was that the reports would reach the Mumbai Consulate within two days and it will expedite the VISA issue. Well I got the checkup done and went back to Indore (I belong to Indore MP). One week passed away and I did not receive any reply from the consulate office. I called back at Consulate Office and they told me that they were still waiting for Medical Reports to come.

Now what? I called up the Ruby Hall and enquired. They told that they had dispatched it on the same day of checkup. Well well, I waited for some more days and but still no response from anywhere. The routine was

Call Consulate->get response ’’Still waiting for Medical Reports’’

Call Ruby Hall->get response ’’We have dispatched it on the same day’’ and premonitions like ’’Do not dare to call next time!!’’.

Ultimately my father asked them for the Courier Service name and the docket number of the Medical Report. Atleast they were kind enough to reveal that. We checked the website for the delivery of the docket and to our astonishment the site showed ’’The docket have been delivered on so and so date to Australian Embassy, Delhi’’. Hey but the reports had to be delivered at Mumbai consulate and not to Embassy in Delhi. And also while quoting the address on my application I had written in BOLD letters the address of Mumbai Consulate. I didn’t even know the address of Delhi office.

Again one more round of calls to Ruby Hall ( and this time Australian Embassy in Delhi also) followed. We told Ruby Hall about what happened and got frustrated with their irresponsible replied. Even after providing them with sufficient proof that the reports were delivered to Delhi and not Mumbai, they kept on saying ’’Report has been delivered to appropriate office’’ and actually they told me that Australian Consulate were making me fool. Again they warned me not to call next time.

Some how I managed to contact higher authorities in Ruby Hall and at last he/she accepted that the docket has been delivered to Delhi, but now its nore more their responsibility. How easy it was to say so for them? Just imagine my plight.

Atlast due to contacts in Australian Embassy we were able to trace the document in Delhi consulate and got it dispatched to Mumbai. Due to this incident I reached Sydney late by atleast 3 weeks and the mental stress I passed through is inexplicable. But till last Ruby Hall kept saying ’’ Docket Jahan Pahuchana tha Wahan Pahooch Gaya’’ (the verse is in Hindi).
