Play to win

So I am the first one to enlighten all of you with the rules for attraction. Attraction is a game and as every other game there are rules for this one too. Was the slogan used to promote and attract the youth to this film.

Do the rules work? Well, they always do in a film - in any fim for that matter. But in life it is a different story altogether.

Meera (Radha) joins a photographer as an assistant because she wants to meet the crush of her life - super model Milind (Vikram). The film begins with a fashion show where for the first time she sees eye to eye the one person whose posters are stuck all around her walls.

Hell breaks loose. She doesn’t know how to behave when around him. And he obviously ignores her. This is when her grandmother played by Tanuja tells her that you can win any man with a given set of rules.

Radha is more than glad to put her granny’s rules to use. The rule one gets Milind to ask her her name. Rule # 2 gets Milind to share a cab ride home with her. Rule # 3 and they are both dancing at a party together. Rule # 4 ... hold on to this one .... has Milind smooching her. And Rule # 5 of course has Milind professing his love to her.

What those rules are .... well, you will have to watch the film for that.

The film is pacy is intertwined with lots of other stories that come together in the end and there is also a lesson on filmi fundas that keeps playing all along.

Performances are something surely to look out for. Milind Soman does a brilliant job as a model, as a guy in love and as a heart-broken guy as well. Meera Vasudevan although in her debut role comes across as a talented actress. And above all the accolades go to Tanuja for her awesome appearance and acting.

Parvati Balgopalan as a debutant director shows great hold over the technical as well as creative aspect of filmmaking.

All is well... except for the climax which is a little disappointing. Suddenly the film takes a very filmi turn. But again all’s well that ends well.
