Russell Watson calls himself a Freak!
because of this extraordinary Voice.
Everywhere he goes, people want to hear
him belt out a note.
There is nothing like hearing the power
of a big Voice hitting a top note- it makes
hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
Many other Tenors, can do that also.
But what makes Russell Unique, is his age.
He is only 27 years old,
and has had no formal training whatsoever..
He left school at age 16, and went
to work in a factory putting nuts & bolts
into a machine!
He is the son of a factory worker,
Watson was born in Salford, in the heart of
the industrial North-West of England..
He entered a local radio `Talent competition.`
He won! {There were 400 contestants}..
He then began to believe he had something special.
Next day he quit his factory job, found himself a manager,
and went out on the Show Business circuit..
He got small singing jobs in local Mens Clubs,
Pubs and others..
He always received standing ovations,
and realised that this was to be his future..
He was at first, advised to follow the type of
music that ’’Michael Bolton’’ sang..
But Watson said no, he wanted to be a
Classical Artist!
Watson can now bask in the reflected glory
of performing in front of 92, 000 spectators
at the ’’Nou Camp Stadium’’in Barcelona
before the 1999 European Cup Final...

He had been asked to sing at the wedding
of a couple who had been chosen to marry on air.
I knew then that I had to buy his music.....
