Poriki’’..Sounds like greek and Latin heh??Actually it is Tamil.Just back after seeing the movie and I cant help but write about the movie..What do you get when there is a pot-pourri of Great acting, neat script, good songs and great climax??You get a block buster..Or rather ’’Saamy’’..That is the movie we are talking about..What is so special about the movie..Read on to find out..
story
Good cop chases bad guy and in the end kills him.sounds familiar heh??not exactly though if you are a tamil movie buff you might see shades of an other movie in it..
Scene 1
The beginnig of the movie potrays the desperate condition of the people in a city overflowing with people commiting atrocious crimes and no one to ask them..
scene 2
The next thing you know is the hero(an honest cop) enters and bashes a few people and the crime rate reduces drastically..The hero does not take bribes and his name spells terror to the bad guys..
scene 3
In comes the heroine and throws chilli powder at the hero’s face thinking him to be a thief(ironic isnt it??thinking a cop to be a thief..not that cops are not)And the next time you see them together is in a remote islans in Southafrica singing duets(sigh..if only it was so easy.)..
scene 4
Enters king of all the bad guys and offers the hero to choose the place to transferred..Hero obliges to serve him if he agrees to strike a deal with him..
scene 5
Suddenly hero turns against the villian and they go against each other..who wins??better go watch the movie for that..
Music
Te background score by Harris Jayray is excellent..Heard that he is from the Rehman stables..so nothing to be surprised upon..’’Pudichiruku’’ will linger in your mind for some time and even the other song are decent..but my favorite is ’’Saamy’’ the number with which the hero is introduced..
Performance
Vikram steals the show with his powerful show though others have done their job neatly..Trisha has a long way to go..The bad guy(i dont know his name) has done an excellent job considering he is a telugu actor..Another highlight of the movie is Vivek..If you think he is good in Minnale then do watch this.He is wonderful.Superb comic scenes and he provides a laugh riot throughout the movie..
On the whole a great entertainer..And if you have got nothing to do this weekend then do watch this movie..It made my day..i am sure it will make yours too..happy viewing
