’ Exceptional brilliance!! This man rehman once again solidifies his roots deep into the mind of music lovers. This ’’sufi disciple’’ who is basically a ’’rehman’’ due to unfavorable conditions , all for his own good and to a greater extent for all the music lovers.
’’saathiya’’ is a precious feather in rehman’s already full feathery cap!
Rehman , and his APPLE G-3 processor which helps him in getting those ’’highs’’ and ’’lows’’ in each of his album , is all set to renovate that shelf in his showcase which already nests so many of prizes and awards from distinguished functioning bodies . now he has to create that extra space for the loads of awards he’s surely going to win for such an ecstatic brilliance. Just when other music composers ignite some thought of getting one award , rehman doesn’t leave any efforts to snatch the nuggets leaving the others in a wonderland.
Talking about the album, starting with the title track,
Rehman explored sonu’s crystal clear voice to perfection.Beautiful orchestration includes the use of ’’guitar’’ which isn’t there in the leading music but is used as a supportive instrument and keeps on creating the waves in one’s mind co-ordinating well with exemplary lyrics by the great gulzar.superior use of flute... Actually the same song which was originally made for a south film was sung by ’’hariharan’’ . But after hearing both ;I find that extra bit offered by sonu nigam makes the hindi version more soothing to hear. Out of the world lyrics going ’’peeli dhoop pehanke tum dekho baag mein mat jaana..bhavnre tumhe sub chedenge ..phoolon mein mat jaana’’ is sung and given a tune which is a trademark of rehman and no other composer can imagine to get near such divine tune. The chorus by tender voices manage to haunt in one’s mind even after the song has ceased to play.
Another gem in the album is ’’aye udi udi udi…’’ beautiful exhibition of bass guitar by keith peters and viji. If u really want to enjoy this album it’s recommended that you try and listen it on ’’walkman’’ or discman ..then you’ll come to know that what you hear on your music system is just 75% of the actual orchestration coming out to your ears.
Voice of adnan sami fits the song giving it a image that it could not be sung by anyone else.The deftness range, quality of adnan’s voice just forces the listener’s
to be transformed into another world . The best part sung by him ’’ lad lad ke seene jeene ko ye lamhe tode hain …’’’’ the greatest of adnan’s song till now!!!!
similar can be written for the sadhna sargam sung song ’’ chupke se…’’ simply exuberant and heart-touching song. It creates the effect depicting the kind of feelings that go through any girl in the midst of darkness , standing alone in the moonlight wanting to speak her heart out!!! Another song worth mentioning is ’’ o humdum’’ Rehman shows that not only can he create soulful music but also vibrant , full of life music!!
