Change isnt always bad. A desire to make a different film is always good but different films arent always good.
Saawariya is different, but not good.
It isnt as bad as some made it out to be also. You can see the meaning of the film but Bhansali didnt express it properly.
The film also confuses. Salman and Sonams character are very mysterious and writers didnt elaborate on that very well.
In short - Saawariya is an average film.
Dialogues - Many are very good.
Writing - Poor. The plot unfolds very slowly and screenplay is poor.
Music - Quite nice. Jab Se Tere Naina, Saawariya and Yoon Shabnami are my favs.
Direction - Bhansalis weakest work. Though he does handle some momments wonderfully.
Saawariya is watchable because of only one man:
RANBIR KAPOOR!!
He is the man of the show. Hes a delight to watch and puts a smile on your face. Infact, hes probably the only character you feel for in the movie. Too Good!
Sonam is good, nothing remarkable. Rani is decent. Salman is wasted, he looks older than SRK and Aamir in this one.
Overall - Being a Bhansali film, its disappointing. Ranbir Kapoors performance saves the film from being bad as Aag, Cash, SEI etc.
