This one is about a bunch of surds who will tickle your laughter buds till the end. Just make sure that you do not use your brains AT ALL while watching this series. The main starrers in this serial are Ranjeet as Jagtar Bhalla and his wife Asha Sachdev as Raj Rani, their 4 sons Balwinder, Maninder, Jatinder, Vikramjit starred by Baba Sehgal, Abhishek Awasthi, Rohan, Karan Godwan respectively and 3 daughter-in-laws Manjeet, Surjeet, Simran staared by Sonia Kapoor, Shilpa Vadke and Namrata respectively.
Muskaan Mehani as Dr. Jasmeet ’Jugni’ Lamba is a coy female, doctor by profession and hopelessly in love with a handsome surd Vikramjit Bhalla alias Vicky. They courted each other when in London together during their studies. After some time Vicky leaves London to return to his own soil in Jagtariya, Jalandhar, Punjab. His lady love follows him to his land only to find his parents looking for a bride for Vicky through a Swayamvar(more rightly Swayamvadhu!!) Jugni participates in the contest and wins Vicky as her prize.
She becomes one of the Bhalla clan. She hides her identity about being well educated and a doctor by profession as the Bhallas believed that only illiterate women can manage the house efficiently and make up a happy, joint family. The story goes ahead with different hilarious incidents around Jugni’s attempts trying to break this long maintained myth at different points of time.
The best part of the serial are the shots between Balwinder, Maninder and Jatinder with heavily accented surd jokes. Good acting and original music straight from Punjab are also worth mentioning for this serial. All in all , a decent family entertainer at the end of the day!! Catch up at 9 pm, Mon-Thurs, SAB TV!!
