Sachin Tendulkar. The very name conjures up images of uadulterated joy, unbridled brilliance and a beacon that has stood out in a country short of role model. Bishen Singh Bedi was right when he said Sachin is the greatest Indian batsman alive. For those who thinks its not true, Can they give me answer of this question- Is there a man apart from the batting maestro who can put a smile on the faces of millions in one stroke? A 29 years old mumbai boy did a lot for India and enough has been said and written about that. I don’t have words to my feeling and his love for his country and for his game too. Its his intense love, nay obsession for game which differentiates him from the others. In tests he scored more than 8000 runs with 30 centuries and in ODI he scored more than 11000 runs with 33 centuries. Aren’t these figures amazing for only 29 years old man? If we look at his ability, strokplay, temperment, hunger to score runs, conduct and adulation, we can figure out that he is the best batsman alive. According to me he is 93.33% perfect. He has to improve his hunger to score runs but then also with this figures he is the best. He is not the player who just think about himself. He always willing to help and guide new and young players. Harbhajan Singh once point out how tendulkar has taught him to spin with new ball; Shiv Sunder Das acknowledge how his technique against short, rising deliveries was smoothered by Sachin’s guidance; and Sehwag is always at hand to let us know how benefiting is the master class of the little icon. Sourab once said that he likes Sachin’s intensity the most. He thinks that after being in the game for so long, Tendulkar still has the same desire to do well for India in every single match. He said that Tendulkar is a LEGEND. According to Dravid, Tendulkar’s balance of mind, shrewd judgement, modesty and technical brilliance make him, his all time hero. He said Sachin is a terrific person and has handled pressure brilliantly. He has handled his success very well and doesn’t have any airs about him. He is a great guy and very good team man. In his heart of hearts, he is a very simple and down to earth person. In the end I just wanna say that by looking all the above points(& those too which I didn’t include) and his teammates views about him makes him the PHENOMENON. He gave new dimensions to batting.
