Sachin Tendulkar, the 5 feet 4 inches cricketer, (too tall ain it?) the wizard of Indian cricket commonly known as The Master Blaster was born in Mumbai, India on the 24 April 1973 in a middle class Maharastrian family.
He started playing cricket ever since he was 10 years of age... (As if we guys don’t). Sachin started his schooling in Shardhashram High School at Dadar, Mumbai & was coached by Mr. Ramakant Achrekar. Do U know, I studied in St. Anthonys School Bangalore and was denied of playing for the school cricket team in spite of my best effort in scoring 1 run of 8 consecutive matches...
Quick Wit!
Do u know that The Gurus teach their disciples almost everything but they never become famous. Be it in the case of Sachin or Arjun the Archer (The Mahabarata Character)... A mystery ain it??
All right back to the review... Sachin came into the limelight along with his fellow batsman Vinod Kambli; his teammate and closest of all friends by scoring a massive 664 runs partnership in school cricket (Was it a match fixing?????)... ofcourse what did you guys expect?? International Cricket?? NO WAY.. It’s impossible in international cricket....
From then on there was no looking back for him and he became a nightmare for the world-class bowlers (he has not played against me u know!) However at 15, he became the youngest ever to have represented Bombay in the Ranji Trophy and he scored a 100 not out on debut against Gujarat. His breakthrough was when he scored a 103 not out in the Iranian Trophy and was selected for the Indias tour against Pakistan.
Rest U know what happened... He became famous for his unsuccessful captaincy (Ha-ha! My favourite M. Azharuddin was the best U know!) and started minting a lot of money ... cool huh??
So it all started for him then and now at the age of 28 is admired by the world (only cricket fans)... Willingly, I took a different turn though and concentrated on my qualification however giving Sachin a chance to achieve something in life as I was willing to study... else! I would have been much more wanting than Sachin Tendulkar.
